Hotel Forum Co-operation Project Introduction: 
Originated from:
What is the task for Chinese hotel industry while facing the rapid
market development and tense competition? Explore in quest, and
collide in thoughts. We have found the road of going forward: Under
the circumstance of Chinese flourishingtourism, to take advantages
of the great power derived by international conferences, medium
and industry integration, push the development of Chinese hotel
industry, accelerate communication with the outside world and co-operation
between domestic and foreign hotels, conclude friendship, share
resources and build up the global hotel alliance (especially the
individual hotel). Therefore, the International Hotel Forum Organization
came into being. It uses the foundation and organizing mold of the
World Finance Forum (Swiss Davao's) and Asian Forum (Hainan Boao)
as reference, and combines the comprehensive developing requirements
of Chinese tourism. It is the non-profit international forum orga
nization founded by "International Hotel" magazine. The
forum will expanse its job based on China, facing to Asia and looking
for the whole world. It plans to hold a integrated global forum
every two years.
Foundation: Initiated
by Chinese Cultural Development Fund, Chinese Success Research Association
and International Hotel Magazine, and formally registered as a International
Hotel Forum Organization in Hong Kong on the November of 2001.
Quality: An international conference
and training organization of tourism hotel industry, which is based
on China, facing to Asia and looking for the whole world.
Principle: Push the development of
Chinese hotel industry and promote the international hotels' abroad
communication and co-operation.
Mission:
Ⅰ Programming:
1. To propose the constructive developing programs and countermeasures
according to the world economical developing direction and the present
status of Chinese and foreign hotel industry.
2. To propose the communication and co-operation plan of Chinese
and foreign hotel industry according to the world economical developing
direction.
3. To research on the competition strategy and tactic issues of
Chinese hotel industry development according to the developing direction
of Chinese tourism finance.
4. To submit the annual conference result to National Tourism Bureau
of China or the tourism charge department of other countries (regions)
every year according to the present developing status of Chinese
hotel industry or other countries (regions).

Discussing:
1. To discuss the regional and staged survival conflict of Chinese
hotel industry and solve the conflict in development; to discuss
how to promote the healthy growing of this industry according to
the present status.
2. To discuss the connection of Chinese hotel industry and international
hotel industry in management and international capital market.
3. To explore the mutual relationship of Chinese hotel talent system
and industrial development.
4. To discuss the regional hotel resource developing and using,
and the s eries detailed problems in hotel management according
to the regional finance developing requirement.
5. To spread a series discussion of career crisis management and
the mass influence to hotel of global finance according to the special
environmental industry requirement.
6. To discuss the chain model and reference effect caused by characteristic
service.
Ⅲ Learning and solving the problem:
1. To publish a series of China and foreign hotel forum literature
and training conference discs.
2. To build up the permanent the site of association for the hotel
forum.
3. To found the global hotel alliance system: league alliance, characteristic
alliance, topic alliance, rank alliance and so on.
4. To study and solve other problems such as hotel's investment,
literature, environment protection and network construction.

2. To set up a fund of China and foreign hotels forum organization.
Forum Memorabilia (by time)
September 1998 The "International
Hotel" magazine started publication. Influenced by "Fortune"
magazine, the founder began to think of building up a hotel forum,
and then he discussed this with Mr. Dai, Bin of China Tourism College
about when to found and how to hold the forum for almost 16 months.
March 2000 The "International
Hotel" magazine formally brought forward the plan of a forum
organization.
July 2000 The main
project of International Hotel Forum came on formally, causing the
intensive influence inside the circle.
September 2000 It was settled to prepare the first International
Hotel Forum and the prophase preparation took about one and a half
years. November 2001 Initiated by Chinese Cultural Development Fund,
Chinese Success Research Association and International Hotel Magazine,
and formally registered as a International Hotel Forum Organization
in Hong Kong.
November 2001 Under
the direction of National Tourism Bureau and front for National
Tourism Hotel, Chinese Cultural Development Fund, Chinese Success
Research Association, and the first International Hotel Forum was
held in Hainan of China by the International Hotel Forum Organization.
This forum was considered the largest and with the highest standard
conference in Chinese hotel history. The first forum's main attendants
are the high rank hotels' managers, and the International Tourism
Association, more than 400 guests from some famous international
tourism colleges (Swiss Lausanne Hotel Management College, the Tourism
Management College of Australia Queensland University, Holland Hague
Hotel College, Purdue University Tour and Hotel Management College
and etc.) and famous hotel management institutions have attended
this forum. The National Tourism Bureau and the main leaders of
Hainan Province also were present in the forum. More than 80 media
have reported the forum. Since it was the first time for each representative
to attend such a forum, they were all earnest and serious and finally
came to the "Hainan Agreement".
March
2002 The "Selected Thesis for the 1st International
Hotel Forum" which contains the content of guest's lecture
of the forum and the forum pictures report was published and attended
the National Tourism Fair of China. December 2002 Held the first
conference of property owners of the international forum organization
in Grand Hyatt Hotel Shanghai, the topic was "who can invest
in Chinese hotel". This is the first time for Chinese hotel
industry to discuss the public relationship between property owner
and manager, and also the first face-to-face communication of Chinese
hotel industry and capital market (communication between investor,
security business, and property owner and manager). The representatives
made and read out the Shanghai Agreement before the concluding of
the conference. In this conference, the great international hotel
industry comprehensive organization, the Direct VIP of the United
Chamber of Commerce has firstly entered the forum and hosted this
conference with international hotel forum organization .
December
2002 Planned and prepared the second conference of International
Hotel Forum, and also programmed the second session of 1st, third
session of 1st, fourth session of 1st Topic Conference of the forum.
January 2003 First published the VCD of the whole procedure of International
Hotel Forum-first session of 1st Property Owners Conference VCD.
March 2003 Hosted by the Direct
VIP of the United Chamber of Commerce and International Hotel Forum
and sponsored by Shenzhen Union Industry Development Co., Ltd.,
the first session of 2nd Management Communication Conference was
held in Shenzhen Kylin Villa. The topic is "Similarities &
Differences, Competitions and Co-operations between International
Hotel's Management". More than 100 guests have attended the
conference and the feature of this conference was to initiate the
civilian league's communication activity. This was the first time
that Chinese hotel industry organized a civilian league activity.
The conference finally came to "Shenzhen Agreement".
April 2003 Published the VCD of the
whole procedure of International Hotel Forum's second session of
1st Management Conference, and the "Second session of 1st Management
Communication Conference Proceeding" which contains the reports
and essays of the conference.
April 2003
Withdrawal the third session of 1st PR & Sales Topic Conference
on May and the fourth session of 1st Individual Hotel Alliance &
Competition Topic Conference on July because of the influence of
SARS.
April 2003 preparation for
the second conference of the International Hotel Forum.
June
2003 second forum of the International Hotel Forum released
the programming information to the industry .
November
2003 second forum of the International Hotel Forum was held
in Hangzhou, and over 400 guests from global hotel associations,
trade unions, hotel management group and tourism colleges attended
the conference.
November 2003
The International Hotel Forum organization has became a formal member
of PATA
November 2003 The International
Hotel Forum organization held the second forum in Hangzhou, on the
topic of "Large Environment, Wide Opening, Great China and
Leisure Hangzhou, together Deducting the Global Hotel League Alliance
and Singing the Song of Tourism Revival" Over 400 guests from
global hotel associations, trade unions, hotel management group
and tourism colleges attended the conference. This conference ended
in great success and came to "Hangzhou Agreement".
January 2004 The third session of the
2nd International Hotel Forum started to prepare. |
